What an amazing celebration October has been! We celebrated 64 years of sharing Christ with our community this past Sunday. Alvin Lau, representing our denominational head office at CBOQ, shared with us a message about hope and dreaming about the future of ABC. After the service, we celebrated with a fantastic reception, where we recognized the contributions of the members of our congregation. I thank God always for all that He has done here at ABC, and all that He will continue to do.
Alvin’s message inspired me, not only because of his engaging style of preaching, but his drive towards Hope and revealing Christ in our world. That’s my dream for Agincourt Baptist this year; that we reveal the hope we have in Christ to the world around us. That is the essence of our theme illuminate for this year.
Agincourt has also been undergoing a major food drive this month called Trick-or-Treat for Hope. The main part of this food drive took place on October 31st, when the youth went door-to-door to ask for food donations that will go to our local food-bank. Already, the members of ABC have shown their generosity and their love by donating food items to give to the needy and marginalized in our community.

Of course, with November here, ABC will be very busy! We’ll be commemorating Remembrance Day on Nov 12th, with guests from the Toronto Scottish Regiment joining us for worship that Sunday. Following that, Christmas is just around the corner!
Our annual Christmas dinner will be held on December 2nd, so be sure to save that date! Tickets are $20/person (or $50 for a family). Please contact Emily in the church office to RSVP and buy tickets.
On December 16th, we will hold our family outreach event called Keepsake Christmas. We will also have two Christmas Eve services this December 24th: our usual morning service and an evening candlelight service.
Make sure to check out the invite card that came with this newsletter! Invite all your friends, family and neighbours to celebrate Christmas in Agincourt with us this year!
See you on Sunday!
